What is the IMIQ-project?
IMIQ – “Intelligenter Mobilitätsraum im Quartier” (Intelligent Mobility Space in the District) is a research project lead by the IMR, that is located in the Port of Science. From 2024 to 2028 the Port will become a district of the future, where new solutions for mobility and transport are developed and tested in everyday life. The research team consists of people working in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Logistics and Sensorics. Our goal is for the transport network in Magdeburg to become safer, more sustainable, and more suitable for daily use.
How can you become part of the project?
You can take part in studies concerning transport and mobility in Magdeburg. We want to know, what you really need in your daily life, what works just fine, and what doesn’t. Thus, we can develop new solutions, that are compatible with life in the city.
How can you take part?
You register online and enter some basic facts about yourself. Afterwards you will from time to time receive invitations for studies via e-mail, for example online-questionnaires, app-tests or specific actions right at the Science Port. Participation is voluntary: for every invitation you can decide yourself, whether you want to take part. The studies will take place between 2025 and 2028.
What are the benefits?
For every study you take part in, you will get a reward. Depending on the type and length of the study, this reward will be between 5 and 50 euros. If you take part on a regular basis and over a longer period of time, you will be eligible for extra rewards. Moreover, we will host a giveaway once a year for especially active participants, who have the chance to win 1,000 euros.
At the same time, you contribute to the improvement of transport and mobility in the city of Magdeburg. More details can be found in the conditions of participation and in the privacy policy.
Who can take part?
Everyone over the age of 18, who lives or works in Magdeburg. For example, residents of the Science Port, citizens from the surrounding neighbourhoods, local employees, or University staff and students. The most requirement is that you are willing to participate in our studies from time to time and share your experiences with us.
